Pembrolizumab May Be Safe And Effective Treatment For Patients With Advanced Basal Cell Carcinoma, Study Suggests.

Dermatology Advisor (10/15, Jacobs) reports researchers found that "in patients with advanced basal cell carcinoma (BCC), treatment with the programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) inhibitor pembrolizumab has a reasonable safety profile and has demonstrated efficacy." The findings were published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
