Babies With Unusual IgA Patterns In Their Gut Microbiota Tend To Become Kids With Asthma And Allergies, Study Suggests.

HCP Live (1/5, Stewart) reports, "Infants who have unusual immunoglobulin A (IgA) patterns in their gut microbiota tend to become children with asthma and allergies," researchers found after analyzing "stool samples from 20 children who had developed allergies, 10 of whom had asthma, and 28 children who remained healthy." The findings were published online in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
