Oxibenzona asociado a "aclaramiento" de corales

Oxybenzone In Sunscreen Has Been Found To Contribute To Coral Bleaching.

The Guardian (UK) (4/28, Yuhas) reported that the "UV-absorbing" chemical oxybenzone contained in sunscreens has been found to "harm coral" and appears to be "in high concentrations at some of the most world's most popular reefs." According to the Guardian, "in research set for publication later this year, biologists found that oxybenzone contributes to bleaching, has a similar effect on DNA to gasoline, and disrupts reproduction and growth, leaving young corals fatally deformed."
