Patients With Stage 1 To 3 Melanoma Who Wait More Than 90 Days For Surgical Removal May Be More Likely To Die, Study Suggests.

HealthDay (11/7, Preidt) reports researchers found that patients with stage 1 to 3 melanoma "who waited more than 90 days for surgical treatment were more likely to die." The article notes that the Academy "urges everyone to regularly check their skin for any new, changing or suspicious spots, especially if they are itchy or bleeding." The findingswere published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
