Oncology Nurse Advisor (8/8, Greenhalgh) reports researchers "found that adherence to the Mediterranean diet was associated with reduced risk of skin cancer," and that "adherence was inversely and linearly associated with risk of melanoma and [basal cell carcinoma] BCC but not [squamous cell carcinoma] SCC." Dermatology Advisor (8/8, May) reports researchers found that "patients treated with tetracycline for an epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor (EGFRi)-associated acneiform eruption are more likely to experience methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs) compared with patients who do not receive the antibiotic."
