222nm ( far uvc) for sterilization!
Researchers are studying whether far-ultraviolet C light can kill SARS-CoV-2 on surfaces and equipment as well as in the air in hospitals and other buildings without harming patients or staff. Far-UVC light doesn't penetrate human cells, and a wavelength of around 222 nanometers kills viruses and bacteria as effectively as conventional germicidal UV light but is safe for human exposure, so it can be used in occupied buildings, says David Brenner, director of Columbia University's Center for Radiological Research.
