Structural Entheseal Lesions In Psoriasis May Predict Later Progression To PsA, Research Suggests

Dermatology Advisor (3/30, Pond) reports, "Structural entheseal lesions in psoriasis predicted later progression to psoriatic arthritis (PsA)," investigators concluded in a 114-patient "cohort study." Researchers also found that "low cortical volumetric bone mineral density (vBMD) at entheseal sites was...associated with progression to PsA." The findings were published online in the journal Arthritis & Rheumatology.
